Watched < The Golden Compass > last night, so happy! I really like it, but it's a bit confusing in the beginning, and I wasn't used to the English accent. I strongly suggest that you read the book before watching it though, it'll make the experience more wonderful~ I like this story a lot because it empowers children by showing their courage, curiosity, love for others, and all those good things that all children embrace. Knowledge is not a bad thing, knowing about life is not a bad thing, so why hide it from our children? Why can't we let go and let them experience what life has to give, positive or negative? As one of my profs have said, children today don't have the opportunity to fall, to get hurt, and then stand up again. I believe that as long as it's safe, and the circumstances meet the needs, it's OK to let them try. Our responsibility is to guide them, not to hold them back and hinder their growth.
今天是 Christmas break 前最後一次教我的 Gr.4/5s, 他們都很喜歡我送給他們的小禮物. ^^" 學生 Sakshi 跟我說, "Did you make all these?" 我說 "Yes~" 然後她說, "Wow...it must've taken you a long time to make 29!" Hehe...yes~ =P
這個 term 每星期教半天, 下個 term 開始, 每星期要教一整天了~ 要 plan poetry unit (language), area & perimeter unit (math), 和一個 science unit (未選呢). 如果我實習那天 Ms.Lamba 剛好要教另一班 Gr.4 Art 和 Gr.6 Health 的話, 我也要 ready to teach 呢. Gr.4 Art 沒有大問題, 因為 content 跟我的 class 一樣. 不過教 Gr.6 Health 有一點擔心呢, 希望我應付得來. ^^"
